And the exhaustion begins...

This guys needs to get his sleep schedule in-line with mommy and daddy. I don't know if I can take too many more nights like last night. It was our third night and each has gotten progressively worse. 15 minutes at a time is all he is giving us for sleep. Oh well, it's worth it. I've just held him and stared at him all day long and I love every minute of it. Even changing diapers isn't all that unenjoyable.

The biggest surprise so far is the amount of dirty laundry Max can create in a 24 hour period. A lot is due to him peeing on his clothes or blankets while we are changing him, but he has a talent for spitting up when we aren't looking and getting it onto every article of clothing on him as well his whole body.

I took some more pictures and have posted them to a new link..."Max Photos part 2"

ok, so here's the trick to the peeing thing... leave the old diaper on, put the clean one under his bottom (with the old diaper still on. then, undo the old diaper, pull it out from underneath. once you've done that, get the new diaper ready to cover. pull the old one off the top and quickly cover him with the new one. i learned this from my day care ladies, and am very thankful for the knowledge.

Ok, that makes sense. Very helpful. I will try that here in about 15 minutes I am sure. My record so far is going thru 3 diapers all in one stand at the changing table. So this is my problem...how do you know that he won't pee or poop as soon as you put on the new diaper? Can you "massage" it out???

hah! i'm not sure about that one. i think you just have to hope. after a while, you will probably notice a pattern to when he poops, like maybe he normally poops right after he eats, ect. then, you will know to wait to change him.
