Indianapolis Museum of Art

This weekend we went to the Indianapolis Museum of Art to explore. There's this 100 acres of stuff which was supposed to be cool. We didn't really get it, but the kids had fun exploring. They have giant numbers so the kids got their pictures taken with their number.

Here's Bryce as cute as can be. He's been having quite a bit of trouble sleeping lately and we really hope that it is a phase he grows out of quickly. Mama likes her sleep.

Here's Lila in #2, even though she thinks she is at least 7. She doesn't think she needs naps anymore. I'm not quite sure what to do about this. I leave her in a her room for a good hour and a half to 2 hours, and still no sleeping. At 2, she still needs a nap. We are also hoping this is a phase she grows out of. Mommy needs her to have a nap time too. As she gets older we are seeing more of her personality, which is really fun. The other night we had some friends over and their kids. One of their children is a 4 year old boy. And wow...I have never seen Lila act the way she did. After she got over her shyness, she turned into the biggest flirt. She did everything but bat her eyelashes and twirl her hair. She followed the little boy around all night fake laughing at everything he said. We really hope this isn't a sign of things to come, b/c we are in for it, come the teenage years.

Max poses in front of the #4. It's really tough to get a good picture of him now as he thinks he is smiling for the camera, when really he is just making a goofy face. School starts this week and he is excited to go, but I'm going to miss him two days a week. At least it's not kindergarten and five days a week. I'd be a disaster. :)

I always enjoy the posts, but these photos are outstanding compositions. Whoever took them has a great eye.

your first picture is beautiful! to get a genuine smile, you have to say something funny. that is what i had to start doing for mason because his fake smiles are horrible. good thing he still thinks i'm funny ;)
