Extended weekend

Max had a pretty busy weekend. On Saturday morning his friend Will came over to play. Will is about 10 days older than Max. They played pretty well together. But it took Max a little while to warm up. Sometimes he is not quite sure if he looks other little boys playing with his toys, but he ended up playing and sharing very well with Will.

He wasn't in a picture taking mood (Will has his hammer and ball, so of course not!) :)

He did have a rough morning and fell (rolled actually I believe) down a few stairs in the basement. He had a few bruises, but nothing major. He was quite scared by this and was pretty sensitive the rest of the day. We had planned to go to church that evening, but his demeanor made us think twice and we stayed home.

Sunday Grandma and Grandpa Holmes came over for lunch. They brought presents and hand me downs from Cousin Andrew, so he had fun playing with all of that.

He is getting much better at puzzles, but can still get a little frustrated if he can't quite get the peices turned just right to get the peice to fit. He is also continuing to say and learn more words, but we really don't have a clue what he says most of the time. A new one this weekend that was cute was "come on" as he waves his hand in the direction we are to go.

Today his daycare was closed so I stayed home with him. We went to the mall to play in the playground area for an hour or so. He had fun but it was packed and the bigger kids scare him a little cause they play rough and fast. He is much more cautious in public with other kids, cause at home his is no fear. I guess that is the way he is at school too. I think that is the way i might have been when i was younger too, but not sure. Mommy met us for lunch in the food court afterwards and we had fun squirting our juice box all over the place.

That's all I can think of for now. Max is yapping away anyway...supposed to be napping.

Oh, the tile backsplash project is almost complete. I am grouting on Friday evening. I'll post some pictures after that of the finished product.
