Bryce's First Dat of School

Bryce started school last week, and so far he is really liking it. He's going 3 days a week and I'm regretting my decision to send him 3 days instead of 2.  He really is just so fun to have at home.  When it's just him, he's always in a good mood, so he's just so fun to hang out with.  He's really started reading and sounding out words.  And he wants to do homework like his big brother and sister which makes for a very chaotic afternoon.

In other news
Max got glasses.  He's not a huge fan.

Lila is just as sweet as can be.  She is kind and considerate and always thinking of others.  Michael and I talk about the nature vs. nurture argument and I have to say as the kids get older I think nature has more to do with it.  I can't believe how different Max and Lila are.  Max takes school soooo seriously that I don't think it's a lot of fun for him.  He concentrates so hard and always wants to make sure he's doing his best.  Lila on the other hand has so much fun at school.  She loves the social aspect of it and always tells me about her day, who she sat by at lunch what they talked about, what she did at recess.  Max said he doesn't really talk much at lunch b/c he needs to eat his lunch and they don't get a lot of time.  If he finishes early he will talk.  I'm not even sure Max talks to his friends at recess, maybe if they want to do what he wants to do he'll talk.  I think in his mind school is not about being social it's about learning.  After school you can be social.  He's so black and white.  Then Lila told me about a little girl in her class that doesn't get to go out to recess very much with them b/c she is in a wheelchair but one day she did.  Lila told me she played with her at recess to make sure she had someone to play with.

I just love those kids! Each one is their own person and unique in the way God made them.

I was going to respond to your post and saw that Grandma Patty said the exact same thing I was going to say. I really enjoy your posts.
