Funny things the kids say

Funny Lila Sayings

It's funny to hear some of the things Lila says.  I can definitely tell what I say has an impact on her.

Here's a conversation I had with Lila this weekend when trying to give her an underdog.
Lila:  Mommy can you give me an underdog?
Me: Well I can try but daddy is usually better at those things.
Lila: That's ok mommy, if you keep trying you will get better at it.
After I gave her an underdog.
Lila:  Good job mommy.  See you are getting better at it.  Just keep practicing.

Here's a not so funny conversation I had with Lila when she was having a meltdown b/c I wouldn't walk down the stairs to hold her hand when she wanted me to.

Lila (through tears): MOMMY come down the stairs.
Me: No Lila.  You are a big girl you can walk up the stairs by yourself.
Lila:  Mommy, I am very disappointed in your behavior.

Funny things Bryce does
So this child amazes me that he understands humor and some sarcasm at age 2.  This one is going to drive Michael crazy.  We were away this weekend and Bryce doesn't sleep well when he is staying in the room w/ his big brother and sister.  He thinks it's super fun and likes to stay up late.  At first he'll start off talking to Max and Lila but when they don't respond he'll just talk to himself for about an hour.  If Michael is in the room this just infuriates him.  So the second night we go to bed and while Michael is putting Bryce to bed he says, "Bryce you need to close your eyes and shut your mouth"  So Bryce closes his eyes and shuts his mouth, and then w/o opening his mouth says, "Daddy can I talk like this?"  Ha Ha. Michael laughed and left the room after that one.  :)

This gave me a good laugh and was a good start for the day. You can be happy Lila is listening to you and I think Michael will probably get a taste of his own medicine with Bryce.

Thanks for posting. I check your blog all the time to see if you've posted something new.

Love to all of you.
