Sleep Deprivation Sets In

My 3 boys.

Michael has a theory that with every child you have under school age you decrease your capacity by 12%....so that means I function on about 64%. I would argue I function on less given the lack of sleep I get. Michael isn't functioning at full capacity either. Here are some of the dumb things we have done since Bryce has been born.
Have the cable guy make a house call b/c our cable was 'broken'. Only to have him tell us the cord was a little loose.
  • Get all the way to preschool only to realize I left Max's bag & lunch at home. At least I didn't leave him at home.
  • Order red velvet cake after the server explained it was made from cocoa and become upset when realized just b/c it was red didn't mean it was strawberry.
  • When speaking to one of our kids or each other call them every other family member's name except their own. We thought it was just our parents and old people that did this. Guess we are old.
Max & Lila loving their brother. Max is really loving being a big brother to a baby. If Bryce starts crying he will immediately break into song to try to calm him. It is usually Away in a Manger. Sometimes it works. He also is constantly talking to Bryce telling him he loves him which is just so sweet. The other day he said 'Bryce I didn't like you when you were in mommy's belly but I love you now.' I asked him if it was because mommy couldn't play with him when Bryce was in mommy's belly and he said yes. :( Hopefully they'll forget about bedrest soon. Lila has turned into our screamer. She is pretty upset she is not held constantly and she can turn on the tears on and off at a drop of a hat. She's going to give us fits when she is a teenager. I can already tell.

Thanks for the posts. They are always a day brightener for me when I check in. =o)
I love how you and Michael can (almost always) find the positive in the situations you find yourself in with your kids.
Your kids are ADORABLE!!
Love,
Aunt Judy

I just love reading your posts! I agree with Judy, you guys seem to keep your sense of humor and find the positives in the situations you are in.

What a tenderhearted little Max! I'd love to see him comforting Bryce.
Wish we lived close enough that I could just take a day and hold Lila (if she'd let me).

Love you all and take care.
