Fun in the Leaves

This weekend Grandpa & Grandma came for a visit so Michael could attend a bachelor party. He was really looking forward to a weekend away, but I think he missed the kids a little. We have a ton of leaves in our yard and the kids had a lot of fun raking and playing in them. Thanks for raking then Grandpa...we only have about 70 more bags to go!

Little Miss Lila is certainly starting to show her personality. She might look like Daddy but we think she got mommy's personality. She's 100% clutz. About 95% of the time she is the most laid back little girl. Max tackling her doesn't really bother her, falling down she is fine with, she is just easy going. Then the other 5% of the time she is pure stubbornness. She sure lets you know when she doesn't get her way. She is particularly picky about her food. She would prefer to eat a diet of milk, bread, and fruit. If she even sees any of that before she eats her veggies and meat she will throw the biggest hissy fit. It's really hard not to laugh at her b/c it is just so ridiculous. But she is still about the cutest thing ever.

Max is growing up so much. He is a funny little guy and he talks so big. Some of his favorite things to say

* I am very talented
* I'm three. Isn't that pretty old?
* I want a brother. I want to name him Sprinkle. I do not want a baby brother. I want a boy brother. (He doesn't understand that a boy his size would not fit into mommy's belly)

He's also trying to be sneaky which is pretty funny at this age, but will not be so funny when he is a teenager. One night he was going to go outside but he needed socks. So Michael told him to go upstairs and get some. He got some and came downstairs, but instead of going to Michael he started hiding behind the sofa. About a minute later he said 'daddy i got my socks'. Michael asked him what he was doing behind the sofa. He said 'nothing daddy.' So Michael looked and there were several pairs of socks hiding behind the sofa. He didn't want to have to run upstairs next time he needed socks. Smart kid!

Just read your post this morning, it made my day! Had to chuckle at the socks story (I can picture Michael dong the same thing).

Lila is a real cutie! Every little girl needs to be stubborn once in awhile!

Tina, I hope you're feeling well. Keep the posts coming. I check all the time to see if you've posted something new.

Love you all,
Aunt Barb
