Max's Buddies

Max’s buddy Mason came over to play with him this weekend and they had a great time, but Max does need to work on sharing. Everything is ‘Mine’. Luckily Mason is a year older than Max and can handle Max’s selfishness. As you can see the boys wanted to imitate each other. If Max was sitting in the chair then Mason had too as well. They wore each other out running around and playing ‘race’. This is Max’s favorite game when his friends come over. They stand at one end of the basement and run to the other side after I say ‘Ready, Set, Go’. This is not really much of a game but it totally keeps them entertained.

Although Max had lots of fun with Mason his new favorite friend is Tiko, the neighbor’s dog. When we first moved in I was very scared of Tiko for Max. I think he’s about an 80 lbs bulldog with fangs that stick out. He looks very mean. Boy can looks be deceiving. Tiko is about the gentlest dog I have ever met. He lets Max follow him everywhere and Max just loves to pet him and stand next to him. It really is cute. He was crying all morning saying 'Tiko Outside' until we finally let him go outside and play with Tiko.

We are very thankful that Max has gotten over his separation anxiety at bedtime, now we are hoping that he’ll get over at daycare too. He pretty much cries hysterically every morning when I drop him off. He’ll try to cling to me so tightly and just scream for mommy. It just breaks my heart.
