Enjoying Spring

Max is loving being able to get outdoors on a more regular basis. It's been fun watching him discover the flowers, play with the neighbor kids and getting dirty like boys do.

Also, he is really started to put multiple words together. Some notable ones that I can remember off the top of my head:
  • I want grapes (actually pronounce very clearly)
  • bess you, yaddy (after I sneeze)
  • i get it (as he chases after a ball)
  • no, NO, NOOOO (to pretty much anything I ask him to do)

Actually he is only typically being defiant to be "funny". at least he thinks it is. he typically comes around to whatever I am asking him to do.

Also...a HUGE praise. After about 6 weeks of terible separation anxiety while trying to put Max to bed, apparently Max just decided it was time to be a big boy and stopped putting up a fight. It was to the point that he would cry for 20 -30 minutes straight when I left the room, sometimes enough that the sheets were wet enough that we had to change them. Ultimately we would have to return to pat his back and calm him down, and he would typically fall asleep within a couple minutes. Well the last time this happened we let him cry for over an hour straight, which is just stressful listening to it. Anyway the next night he went down without a single cry when I left the room. And it has now been 6 straight nights like that! What a big boy. And he has not once crawled out of his toddler bed during all this time. That was the most amazing thing, because he knows how to.

"you sure about this one dad?"

Tina and I get to enjoy the weather too! We are both enjoying her not being on bedrest!
