It finally snowed and we were able to go outside for a little bit. Someday that will get easier. It takes us 30 minutes to get ready for a 10 minute trip outside, but the kids had fun, well Max and Lila did. Bryce is still trying to understand that mittens in the snow is a good idea.

Christmas Eve started off as a really fun day. We decorated cookies for Santa. The kids spent hours it seemed making sure we had enough cookies for Santa. We had plenty. Daddy even helped. I love the way Bryce looks at his daddy in this picture. Unfortunately during our first annual candy cane hunt our sink backed up. Luckily our neighbors helped us out and Michael fixed it just in time.
We were able to spend lots of time with family. Bryce with Grandma O and Lila got to have a tea party with Great Grandma Wilma.

We got to spend lots of time with the cousins. We sure wish we could see them more. Max especially just adores his older cousins.
And of course the PRESENTS!!
Max got a cool flashlight for his head. It's very important when building forts. I think Max's favorite gift was a watch. He loves telling us what time it is. He of course loves his legos. I think Legos is such a scam though. He's already built most of the ones he got!

Lila got cupcakes she can eat from Santa, so the kids got cupcakes for breakfast. What could be better than cupcakes for breakfast. I hope this does not turn into a yearly ritual though. Too much sugar. Lila's favorite present was her rocking horse. I'm pretty sure it was meant for a 1 year old but she loves the thing. She also loves her doll house. I think she is going to have hours of fun w/ that.
Bryce probably loved his treats the best. We don't let him eat many sweets since he doesn't eat much else. He also loved his tractor and new geo trax. Although I think Max liked that just as well.
And this was my favorite gift. I swear we have the worlds sweetest, most thoughtful five year old boy. On Christmas morning I saw Max's light was on so I opened his door. It was like a deer in headlights. I caught him doing something. I said Max what are you doing? He said 'Well I was getting your surprise ready'. I make all of the kids have a rest time everyday for about an hour, and over Max's rest time over the course of a few days Max all on his own decided to make presents for Michael and I. He traced his foot for me and drew Michael a picture of a tree. Then he had to wrap them. Well he didn't have any wrapping paper so he cut paper and folded and made an envelope. Then he hid the presents behind his toy box in his room, so we wouldn't find them before Christmas. I'm so blessed to have this amazing kid as my son.
