Portrait Pictures

Well we finally decided to get some professional pictures of the kids this weekend. There are quite a few good ones of Lila and quite a few good ones of Max. Not so many of them together but I'm sure it'll get easier the older they get. We of course bought way too many. I think we could probably wall paper our living room w/ all of the pictures, but it's so hard to resist. We got a new picture website, so check out all of the pictures at 'Our Picture Gallery' on the right hand side.

Potty Updates
Max is doing great w/ using the potty. For the past few weeks we have not had any accidents! Hooray!! For some reason as soon as Grandpa taught him to wave good-bye to the poop and pee and say 'bye guys', we haven't had any accidents. Thanks Grandpa.

Sleeping Updates
Lila MIGHT be on to something. For those of you who don't know, Lila is a terrible sleeper. I mean hands down way worse than Max and I thought he was a challenge. On average she was waking up about 5 times a night. Sometimes she would go back to sleep pretty quickly....other times she would cry for hours. And I know some people say let her cry she'll fall asleep in an hour. #1 I don't believe in letting a baby cry for that long. I think it teaches them that mommy won't be there for her when she needs her and #2 It's crap that she'll fall asleep in an hour. She will not. I know this b/c I have tried several times. After I couldn't get her to sleep myself and she would cry for at least3 hours..maybe more...I wouldn't know how long b/c I finally fell asleep. It was 3:00 and I had to be up by 6:00. So I finally dozed off. Anyway I was really at a loss. I don't believe in letting her cry but I really need my sleep. After eight months of getting on average 4-6 hours of sleep a night I was done. So I told Lila this. That night she slept thru the night and has slept thru the night 3 nights in a row. I'm sure she's listening to me already!! ;) Actually we played music and turned on her overhead light. I think she might have been a little scared of the dark. Last night she woke up just once, but that is a whole lot better than what she had been doing. I think she is finally starting to eat something which means she doesn't need to wake up in the middle of the night for a bottle.
