Unlike Max who loves everything!
Now that we have a second little one, I couldn't even remember Max's schedule so I thought I would write down our daily routine, just so I could remember.
5:00 - 5:30 am - The day starts with a feeding for Lila. And I put her back to sleep.
6:00 am - I stumble down the stairs and log in to work. Somehow I manage to get a couple of hours of work in. I'm still not sure how that happens.
8:00 - Michael goes to work and the chaos begins. Max and Lila wake up.
8:30 - Breakfast time. Max's breakfast usually consists of fruit and waffles or cereal w/ marshmallows (Lucky Charms). Lila's breakfast is not so easy. I heat up some peaches or pears and mix with rice cereal. I feed her a couple of bites and she makes a super sour face like I just gave her a shot of whiskey. She spits most of it out but as soon as the bites that make it to her tummy hit, her whole body trembles in disgust. Someday she'll learn how to eat.
9:30 - Puzzle time. Max got a couple of puzzles for Christmas and he just wants to do them over and over again. He's pretty funny b/c he cheers for himself when he gets a piece right or gives me a high five.
10:00 - Lila goes down for her 30 minute morning nap and I let Max watch the only TV of the day. He is really into Curious George and Bob the Builder right now, so it's usually one of those two.
11:00 - This is the time we typically will run an errand or go to the library. Max loves to go to the library and get new books. He also likes to play with some of the kids there.
12:00 - Lunch time. Lunch time can last anywhere between 5 minutes and 60 minutes depending on how much food Max wants to eat. You would never guess looking at him but he is a super good eater.
1:00 Max's nap time. We read a few stories while Lila cries b/c I am not holding her. Max gets my total attention when we are getting ready for his nap, so Lila doesn't like that one bit.
2:00Lila's afternoon nap time. I put Lila down for her 30 minute nap of the day.
2:30Mommy time. This is the only time of the day when it is all about ME. This is when I eat all of the junk food I want and watch about 20 minutes of Young & the Restless. I also zone out a little bit and typically wonder 1 of 3 things.
1) Why don't we live in Arizona where it is always warm and sunny?
2) How can I get either one of my kids hair to stop standing straight up?
3) How can I get Lila to take longer naps?
Because just as I am thinking about Lila's nap she wakes up.
3:00- 4:00 Is all about Lila, which of course she loves. We read books and play with balls. She loves the attention and I love the smile and the laugh I get in return. I don't think anything beats a smile & giggle from my baby girl.

4:00 Max wakes up and we usually play or have arts & crafts time. He loves play dough and coloring.
5:00 We start to get dinner ready. Max loves to sit on the counter and help bake. It makes sense as much as he loves to eat.
5:30 I think this is Max's favorite time of the day when Daddy comes home.
5:45 Dinner time. This can last anywhere from 10 minutes to 90 depending how much Max wants to eat.
7:45 Bed time.
8:30 - Michael and I get some alone time and usually spend it enjoying our favorite pastime. TV. We love reality TV especially. The Bachelor is my favorite, followed by American Idol. I know that I should probably watch more age appropriate TV but it's totally my guilty pleasure.
10:00 Bedtime. I have to go to bed early since I wake up at twice a night w/ Lila. Hopefully soon she'll start sleeping better soon!

Hang in there,

Tina, grandma and I think it is wonderful how you spend time with each of the kids every day. We don't see how you get everything done. Michael better be good when he gets home.
