We had a busy day today with Max going to school and a doctor's appointment right after. That meant no nap. Never a good sign. We went to the doctor for a couple of reasons. Lila had a growth coming out of her nose. Max had something similar last year and we thought 'oh no big deal', but it turned out to be a staph infection so we were worried about Lila. Well we shouldn't be doctors. Apparently Lila just had an infected zit. She'll be fine as soon as it pops. Max was also bleeding out of his ear, which really concerned us. The doctor said the tubes just came out and Max was digging at his ear and made it bleed. The doctor said it was pretty normal. He did have to get his ears flushed with water since there was so much blood and he was a brave little boy. He just held on to mommy and said 'all done'. Afterward the kids played nap in mommy and daddy's bed..unfortunately they didn't actually take a nap.
Other than the doctors appointment we are all doing well. Max still loves his baby sister and still smothers her with affection. I'm always terrified he is going to accidentally hurt her. His new favorite word is actually. Maybe I say that more than I realize. Everything is actually. 'Daddy is actually working today', 'Actually I'm full', 'Actually no want to', 'actually no raining'. It amazes us how he picks up on things.
Lila is certainly active and is getting more needy. She is definitely becoming a mommy's girl and tends to want to just be held. Poor daddy tries but usually she just wants mommy. I'm sure in no time...daddy will be the fun one, and mommy will just be boring old mom.
We went to a festival this weekend. There was lots to do so here are some pics.
