Lila makes me smile
Today I was volunteering at Lila's school. I am there quite a bit these days. Lila absolutely loves having me there and after a couple of years of being indifferent to me volunteering ,Max really loves having me there too. So between working and preschool days with Bryce I try to get to the school once or twice a week. When I volunteer the teacher usually asks me to do something I don't know how to do. I often stare at the copier wondering how to minimize it by 23% or how to copy something front to back in the correct order to cut to make a book or stamping letters for bulletin boards. I didn't know how to do any of this, but I was finally starting to feel better about my volunteer abilities until I was asked to laminate today. It looked easy enough. Turn it on. Hit Run. Slide the paper in. Laminate. Easy Peasy. Not so much so. I don't know what happened but long story short. I broke it. So I had to go tell the office ladies I broke it, then we had to wait for Willie to come, who knows how to fix things. Anyway I was in the supply room for a while waiting for Willie to fix things, and in comes Lila's math teacher. She remembered me from having Max in class. She stopped to tell me if she could take any student home from any class she would want to take Lila home. She said she always just does the right thing and she hoped one day that her daughter would grow up to be like Lila. I don't think that I could have heard a greater compliment. Thanks Lila for making me so proud!

What a wonderful compliment about Lila! What a sweetheart. Keep up the volunteering...you'll soon be a pro at it all.
Have a wonderful Thanksgiving!
