Max is super anxious for the summer. Kindergarten is quite hard work, and not at all like preschool. He wishes he could go back. I do have to agree with him a little bit. He only gets one 15 minute recess a day. I think that is so sad. Every minute of everyday is planned and structured. There is no time for imagination play. No wonder why he is bouncing off the walls when he gets home from school. Although he has learned so much at Kindergarten this year. He really surprised us when we found out he was reading chapter books before bedtime. He even woke up early so he could read his new Phineaus and Ferb book. I hope he always loves reading.
Lila is turning out to be quite the adventurous one lately. She just learned to ride her bike w/o training wheels. She picked it up so quickly and she didn't get frustrated at all. Unfortunately she inherited my klutziness, (I think I was 7 or 8 when I learned how to ride a bike) but sometimes she really surprises me w/ what she can do. It's hard to believe she only has a couple of weeks of preschool left. I'm so glad she has a summer birthday and I can keep her home w/ me for one more year!
And we can't forget Bryce. Bryce continues to be a handful that makes us laugh all of the time. He really came around at school this year. At first it was so hard and now he loves to go to school and play with his friend Hank. However if you ask him how old he is, he will proudly tell you he is in 6 and in kindergarten like his brother Max.
I can't remember if I have documented their bedtime rituals, but I want to make sure I remember them. They each have their own ritual before bed.
Max: Requires I sing him the state song every night before bed. He started requesting this song b/c it is the longest song I know and he wants to prolong bedtime as much as possible. At least he knows all of his states now.
Lila: Every night Lila looks out the window and comments if it is dark or light. Then she says the same thing every night.
What time is it?
What are we going to do tomorrow?
I think I'm going to have bad dreams.
I need a hug.
I love you mama.
Bryce: Asks every night if I will put macaroni & cheese, and meatballs, and cucumbers and peanut butter and jelly on his sandwich. Every night I give him the same response. 'No, that would be gross. Good night'

Your kids and all they do are just so cute! I really enjoyed hearing about their bedtime rituals. What if you're not there, does Michael sing the state song?
Looking forward to seeing you in June.
I love the bedtime rituals!
