Happy 6th Birthday Max!

Happy birthday to my big boy.  I cannot believe he is turning 6 this summer and starting kindergarten in the fall.  He woke me up at 4:45 this morning informing me he was done sleeping.  I walked him back to his room and he had already made his bed.  I guess someone was a little excited for his birthday.  He's such an amazing kid and I can really start to see him getting older.  He's gained a lot of confidence over the past year and I am so thankful that he was able to stay home with mommy for one more year before heading off to school.  Usually for birthdays we let the birthday kid pick whatever they want to do all day long, but this year Max is doing swim team for the first time and today was filled with practice in the morning and a meet in the afternoon.  It's remarkable how far Max has come swimming in the past few weeks.  When he started swim team he could not swim really at all, and today for the first time he swam in a meet w/o any help.  Go Max!  One of the things I love about Max is he never ever gives up.  He will work and work until he gets it right.  Swimming has been a great example for him on how he hard work pays off.   Here he is getting ready for the big race.

We had Max's birthday party on Saturday and it was a dinosaur themed party.  It amazes me how long it takes to plan such a short event.  We had lots of games and I think the kids had fun.

Here the kids are getting ready to race.  Always a big hit.
Max's favorite was the dino dig.
 And who doesn't love cake!
And of course we can't forget Bryce and Lila anxiously waiting for Max to blow out the candles.

What a great little guy Max is! I'm really impressed with him being on a swim team! Sadly, I never learned to swim. He is going to be such a good student in school with his desire to learn. HAPPY BIRTHDAY MAX!

Patty and Albert are bringing birthday gift for Max and Lila when they come down this weekend.

Blessings to you your family.
Love,
Barb
