The First Stitch..well sort of

Well we knew it was going to happen sooner or later with three kids, I was just hoping for later.  But not surprisingly Bryce is the first with stitches or a broken bone.  Being the youngest he tries to do everything his big brother and sister and he is just can't.   He fell off the sofa on Saturday night and hit his head directly into a big wooden toy bin.  Poor little guy.  He of course cried and the blood came, so we took him to med check.  He was a trooper and liked having mommy and daddy all to himself.  He was in a good mood and singing most of the time.  The nurses and doctors actually glued him back together.  They said that would be less painful than stitches and Bryce would be less likely to pick at it.  When we got there a nurse came out and said 'oh I remember Bryce'.  Great....that's not a place I want to be known.  But he is a hard one to forget.  He has to be the happiest child ever.

Saturday started out a really great day.  Lila and I went to see a Dora play.  I was a little nervous at first b/c she said she was too scared of Swiper and wanted to go home.  But we know how to get rid of Swiper we just say 'Swiper No Swiping!'  Which Lila chanted for about 15 minutes straight.  She finally got over her fear and had a really good time.  And she got ice cream after.  Can't beat ice cream.

She also got to hold a baby.  Lila LOVES babies and thought she was so big that she got to hold baby Kayla.   We were so happy to get to meet her.  What a sweetie!

And I think over the weekend Max just thought about food.  I just don't think it's normal for a kid to think about food as much as he does.  On Sunday after Max went to bed, he got out of bed and came to find me.  He definitely had something on his mind.
MAX:  'Mommy are you going to pack my lunch for school tomorrow?'
ME 'I'm not sure.  Probably'
MAX: Can I have those carrot gummies?
ME: Sure
He continued to stand there.  Something was still on  his mind.
MAX: Mommy I'm worried you are going to forget.  Can you go put it in my lunch box now?
ME: Yes Max, now go to bed.
Hysterical.
